The Ring-Ge-Roo

Light in the bag.

The Ring-Ge-Roo illustrates very clearly that the possibilities are endless when you want to play with light.

Yesterday I talked to one of my roommates about how to decorate his room. He recently move into a bigger room with big white walls. The thing is that he doesn't like to have picture on his walls, so the idea of playing with light struck me. And the Ring-Ge-Roo from OWA Innovation Design Group does just that. And the structure is very simple, a LED light in a IV-pack. Simplicity that gives a special glowing light.

And what gives another dimension to this lamp is that you can change it yourself. Since the lamp is filled with water, changing the color can be done very fast. If you want a warm light source then fill it with red dyed water. And if you want a bit colder color, then simply put some green or blue in there.

Picture Lamp.

Design Your Own Light.

Small, simple and clean. Sure to brighten up the room.

A room always need a lot of light, especially this time of year. A room needs a big source of light for when you're cleaning. It also needs smaller lights to make the room look good. This lamp is the second kind, it's purely a decorative source of light. It's the type of lamp that you can put in a bookshelf to brighten it up or something to hang on the wall. It's not that big so you can also put many of them next to each other. It's actually only 8,2cm x 8,2cm x 13,5cm big. But what it lacks in size it makes up in looks.

The idea with this lamp from Komat is to make your own design. You simply put a picture, a message or a drawing between the two shards of Plexiglas and you have a individual deco lamp that you can change when ever you like it. But keep in mind that the light illuminates the picture from behind, so you should probably go with an already bright picture.

This is something that I would put in my bookshelf if the prize was a bit kinder. But to you that have cash and lots of it, I say - Go for it!

Nice Lamp.

I Love Lamp.

The name is Aläng and it is suppose to be a Swedish word. I have never heard this word and I'm Swedish. I guess IKEA is slowly running out of names. But I saw that that was happening some time ago. Anyway, this is a nice lamp. It goes very well with a black leather couch and a red chair.

IKEA might not have the most lets say stable furniture. And the mass production does not make your purchase very special. But and that's the hook, there stuff has a good price for what you get. And that's the whole idea. A idea that change the way we think when it comes to furniture. Back in the days people bought hand made furniture. Big wooden things that was past from generation to generation. But when IKEA started that changed, people didn't want old they wanted new. And now people want new every two years or so. When you do that why buy things that last long.

Be aware! IKEA is taking over the world. But you didn't hear that from me.

Long weekend makes Monday's post disappear, until Tuesday.
