Star Wars Sneakers.

3CPO and R2D2.

The star wars original saga from Adidas continues. This time it's a complete split. Inner side gold, outer side white/blue.

Almost every character from the movies has gotten a sneaker in Adidas previous Star Wars collection. This time it's the two best robot buddies that get their own combo-sneaker. The pair doesn't just work well on the big screen but also on a sneak.

But if somebody would have pitched this idea to me I would have been sceptic. One side white with blue the other gold? Just split in the middle? Not really the normal colorway now is it. But somehow it works. And it will surly turn some heads.

Feel like partying in an abandond amusement park?

Wedding or Spreepark.

Feel like partying in an abandond amusementpark? Or maybe in and old public swimming pool?

But to start the weekend, how about a party in previous department store? Fridays are always Fridays, the one evening that can be tricky to organize. There are a hundred of different things happening but the obvious one is never clear.

That's why I would recommend Brunnen Str 70 tonight. If you haven't been than you should stop by. It's big and normally well organized and it's in the basement of and old department store. Combine those things with mind altering substances and a lot of people and it can very well be a good Friday night.

In the movies it's one of the worst places to go next to that lake where a bunch of kids died on this day 10 years ago. I'm of course talking about the abandoned amusement park. Tomorrow night is the perfect time to go to one here in Berlin.

There has been talk about Bar 25 opening something in Spreepark next summer but this Saturday and Sunday Lunar Land is trying it out. We are not merely talking about an open air here, this is a mini festival with a impressive line-up. If the rain isn't falling to hard then dress up as Scooby-Do or a ghost or something and dance your ass off in Lunar Land.

And if the rain is to cold and to hard then there is only two other options. Berghain as is the custom or why not Gruppenzwang one year anniversary at Stattbad Wedding. Okay you will most likely get wet there to but it will be a warm wet.

The fact that it's Friday can really be enough to put you in a good mood. Especially when this weekend offers so much.

It's funny to see Mr Colberts reactions but It's also scary considering that a lot of Americans think everything said on this show is real and the truth.

The U.S has it's nice points. But being humble and understanding is not among them. I like this clip and the show but just keep in mind that Steven Colbert is a parody/cliche of a extreme right wing republican.

But I'm sure you already knew that.

Freakonomics.

A different way of asking questions.

Why do drug dealers live with their moms? What does abortion have to do with the biggest drop in U.S crime history? These are the types of questions that are asked in this book.

These questions might seem to have nothing to do with ecnomics but they do. The only reason why you need to read this book to find that out is because the economics professor Steven Levitt has a way of finding parallels where nobody thought about looking.

Together with the journalist Stephen J. Dubner they have written a book that will not only explain a lot it will also make you see things differently.

All I can say is that it's an entertaining book that actually manage to make economics interesting. So if you feel like reading a book that is not only fun but also informative go get Freakonomics. Or better yet get their newest book, Super Freakonomics. I'm sure that one has even more weird questions.

White T-shirt.

Blinding.

I have said it once and I'm saying it again. Everybody needs a couple of white t-shirts in the wardrobe.

Strangely enough they have named this tee Bad. Must be because it's a v-neck and the model is wearing leather pants. Or maybe you feel bad once you paid for it. Because it's not just a white t-shirt, it's from Acne and it cost 50€.

You might wonder why you should pay that much for a tee that's just white. Here's the thing. A white tee is a basic part of any wardrobe. You are going to need one more often that you think. And as I have say before, you can go in two different ways when it comes to this. Many cheap ones that generally have a bad shape (or loss their shap) or you can suck it up at get a couple of expensive ones that keep their fit.

I would personally recommend a mix of the two. Have a bunch of cheaper ones for weekdays and fall and winter when you have other thing over and then have expensive ones for the weekend and summer when your entire outfit depends on the t-shirt.

Just saying.

JS License Plate.

Read that Plate.

This time around we have something for the one that really likes a big tongue on his/her sneaker.

This sneak is a limited edition sneak in the ObyO collection made by designer Jeremy Scott. It could be a way to simply stand out in the crowd or this one is saying that big tongues are on the way in again.

So for it's originality and it's potential to be a part of a really interesting look. I just had to show it to you guys. Check out more pictures or order your own pair over at sixfeetdown.com

Party Party

Back In The Game.

Big weekend, well every weekend in this city is a big weekend. But when you get back from Stockholm any weekend will feel, let's say more interesting.

As normally is the thing there, there is nothing really spectacual tonight (Friday). Looking through who's playing and where nothing really sticks out. But depite of that I think that Renate will be good today. Also Kleine Reise can give a nice Friday feel to things.

What will be good music wise on Saturday is Watergate. Nice line-up and maybe the tourists will behave. But the really best thing this weekend is Bar 25, in their Sunday to Monday (or even Tuesday) party. Not only do they have a excellent line-up of Djs but they seem to have coupled up many of them. And thing tend to get a bit more interesting when two people are involved.

I got the right feeling about this weekend.

Jackets and Sneaks

Double Up!

It's not only the seasons that are slowly changing from summer to fall. So are the collections. But what to get?

During "Stockholm Vacation 2010" I haven't been posting any nice stuff so today we double up on both sneaks and jackets. Sneakers and Jackets being key pieces now when the leaves slowly shift color.

First we have the sneakers. To the left in the picture we have the new Converse named Star Player Sock and to the right we have the Top Ten Hi in a grayish chrome colorway.

Now you might think - Converse? Isn't that a summer shoe? and you also might be a bit sick of Converse (since everybody has been wearing them this summer). The answer to that is: The Star Player Sock is made of leather so it will keep cold and rain out. And if you think logically, one could reason that the people who wore converse this summer, now wants a change. So they will wear something else. Meaning that now when it's actually not to warm to wear those skinny jeans you will have some sneakers that will make up a amazing combo. Skinny jeans and high Convers simply kicks ass.

The reason why I chose these Top Ten Hi's is because of the colorway. This new chrome colorway will work really well for the ones that are gonna jump one the trench coat train this fall.

And now for some jackets.

BOMB!

These are some nice jackets. The jeans jacket is a Lee original called 191J and is a re-make of the original from the 1940's. I must say, it's one if not the cleanest jean jacket I have ever seen. Put something knitted under that one and bomb you're right up there.

Looking around on the internet for a fall jacket then this one always pops up. It seems to be a favorite of many. This "Bomber" jacket is from Weekdays. The only difference from a jacket of this type from say Alfa Industries is that it's thinner. Which removes the risk of it looking to big and puffy.

To sum up, high sneakers and short jeans or "bomber" jacket.

Back In Berlin

Good Bye Stockholm, Hello Neukölln.

Just like that my trip and my vacation is over. I'm back where I started and the city is almost like I left it.

Just as sad as it might be to leave Stockholm it's nice to be back. And what do I bring back with me? Well, except for a bunch of great memories, a few stories and a bag of the most delicious candy in the world, I also bring good news. Unfortunately I'm not sure if I'm allowed tell them here. So I am gonna play it safe and simply not tell them. But I can give you a hint, it's a family concern.

And for the Revdes mission, I do hope Hans isn't so picky when it comes to this picture (because this is the last one I made). Does this work?

With that I say - Thanks Stockholm, see you next time around.

I hope you guys enjoyed Stockholm Vacation 2010. Tomorrow I'm back at the office and will bring you more Best Stuff.

Movie Time.

Some movies has a special feel to them. This is one of them.

The director Jean-Pierre Jeunet (who made Amélie and The City of lost children) has a very special style when it comes to making movies. Somehow he manage to create a timeless world that is full with imagination.

Simply a great movie.

Nostrano Stockholm

Everybody loves a small Italian.

Nostrano is one of the best Italian restaurants that I have ever been to here in Stockholm. And I have never tried a better fillet of beef.

The Best Stuff I See is almost turning into a food blog this week, but I'm on vacation so it's a bit different this week. Anyway, if you're in Stockholm and have the urge for Italian food then this is the place to go. Nostrano is a small, light and cosy restaurant the serve excellent food. I don't know how they did the fillet of beef (did they put MDMA in there?) but it's the best one I have ever tried.

Max Burger.

With out a doubt the best burger I ever had. Well, so far.

Sure a burger bought at a fast food restaurant can be tasty, but it's not the same as a home made one. Especially when it looks and tastes just as good or even better than one bought in a fancy restaurant.

Friday in Sthlm.

Getting my drink on.

As promised I got my drink on yesterday. And as you can see in the picture so did Rickard. We went to Trädgården (the garden) and Strand (beach).

The thing is that Stockholm is not really a party city. The clubs close at 01:00, 03:00 or in a few cases 05:00. So you have to go out much earlier. Me and Rickard got there a bit late and a bit to drunk but hey it was a fun night.

And I got a night picture for Revdes. But it might not be was the guys want.

So I took another one today. What do you say Richi and Hans, is it a keeper?

Systemet.

Closing Soon.

Just look at these opening hours. That's what I say, plan ahead.

But on the other hand they really have a excellent selection and people who work there actually now shit about what they are selling. One can act like a total douche and go in and utter a phrase like -Good day my dear sir, I'm looking for a red wine that is not to sweet that works with lamb. What would you recommend? And the person there would actually know the best wines that fit that description.

But it's fucking expensive. Just look at the price for a small can of beer. That's one €.

It's Always Sunny in the Suburbs.

In the Burbs.

Some have a lot of money, they live in the city. Some have "not so much money", they live in the suburbs.

Being a 20 min train ride from the city one needs to organize. There is a lot of calls to be made. One of the priorities of the day it to get beer. One can't just go down to the tobacco store a get a beer. In the kingdom you need to plan (sometimes days) ahead if you want to have a couple of cold ones in the fridge.

More on that later today...

Arriving In Stockholm.

Tripping.

It took a while but I finally made it.

When you look at the ticket and it says that it will take 1 hour and 15 minutes you think -Damn this will be a cake walk. I will be in Stockholm in no time. That's before you sit on the train to the airport. That's before waiting everywhere. That's before the screaming kids and people who doesn't seem to know how to travel.

But fuck it, I made it! I am finally here. So right now I'm gonna chill with my brother and tomorrow getting my drink on.

Supplies for Sweden.

Preparing for the Trip.

Smokes and drink is not exactly cheap in the kingdom so it's better to come prepared.

Man, packing is not the most fun but I'm amazed how much shit you can actually get in a small backpack such as mine (only 45 liters). I mean not only did i get all that stuff in there but also 14xt-shirts, 14xsocks, 2xshort, 14xunderwear, 2xhoodies, 1xpair of sneaks, 1xjacket.

I can easily say I'm a good packer.

The Best Stuff I See/Max

Vacation 2010.

Be prepared.

Tomorrow the annual trip to Stockholm takes place. The Best Stuff I See (aka me) will then head off for that beautiful city surrounded by water.

Stockholm is a beautiful city, there is no denying it. But it's true beauty only comes out during the summer. So going now in August should be the best time. I'm just really hoping that the weather is gonna be okay.

The big difference from the trips I normally make to Sweden every summer is that this time I will only be i Stockholm. The reasons for that is 1. Money, Sweden is expensive. 2. Less chance of getting bored, nature is nice but not that exciting 3. Finding out if I could ever live in the city again, I've been away so long that it might not be for me any more.

And except for my personal missions I also have a mission from Revdes. Just like in the picture here (but it will of course say Stockholm) I will make some pictures of someone or someones wearing a Revdes t-shirt. I'm gonna try to find some different people and locations. And for one lucky person this means a new t-shirt. Only catch is that the tee is an extra-large, but hey I think it's big enough to be worn as a dress if you're small.

Like all trips this one needs some preparations. Later today I'll have to make sure that I have everything I need and then of course pack all my stuff. More on that later today or tomorrow.

Right now the question is if forgot anything. Oh, Damn! the vodka!. Now I have to go to the supermarket again...

T.I.T.S

It Is.

Another "provocative" t-shirt from T.I.T.S But it's clean and it's true what it
says.

As I have said before, T.i.t.s has a bunch of clean tees in the same style as this one. One just need to go to their web-page to see it.

And the benefits of such a t-shirt is obvious. Get one all you will see. But these guy are not the only once that make t-shirts in this style. Crooks and Castles has jumped on the same horse with this one.

And I guess that if it sell well then they will not be the only ones joining in and we will see a lot more of t-shirts in this style in the future.

It would not surprise me.

Super Star 80's

Adidas Drop.

Big launch from Adidas. Here a vintage looking Super Star 80's. Designed by Kazuki, Neighborhood and Luker.

Even if I'm not a big fan of the shell toe on the super star this is a clean limited sneaker from Adidas. Great color combo that works prefect with the retro look of the sole. A must have if you like Adidas. But if you want a pair you better be fast, their going for 149,90€ over at Six Feet Down. Once there make sure you check out all the other Adidas original releases.

Since I'm going to Stockholm later this week I just have to take a look when I'm there. Especially when this launch has sneaks like this one.

You can't have to many clean white sneaker, now can you?
