Losing an Idea.

It all falls apart.

Getting an good idea can be one of the most perfect moments. Losing it can be the hardest.

It has happened to everyone. On the way to work, sitting in a lecture hall or waiting for a coffee. As you are deep in thought thinking about just anything it suddenly hits you. An idea and it's not just any idea, it a really good one. In that second you feel lighter. Everything around you is better and more beautiful. But somehow your mind races on and before you know it that idea is left behind.

What just a moment ago was the beginning of something new has just turned into the worst point of the day. After trying to re-trace your mental steps. After going over and trying to re-create exactly what you were thinking about and not finding it. This is when it really hits you. You had a great idea and you just lost it. If your smart you just move ahead, you shake it off and tell yourself that it will all come back to you. And even if it won't you will have millions of great ideas in the future.

But most people don't think like that. Instead what happens it that you go around and think about it more and more. And sooner or later the idea that was once great has now become the best idea you ever had.

All you can really do is just try to leave it behind you, that and always making sure that you have a pen and paper close by.
