Sun glasses

Frogskin.

No wonder they are all sold out. These sun glasses are f**king crazy. In there very 80's way they will turn some heads.

There are a few things that you wish for in sun glasses. One, they should look good. Two, they should hide you eyes. Most of the glasses in the Frogskin collectors edition gives you just that. The only problem is that they are sold out. So if you feel the urge then you need to seek them else where.

Check out more versions on www.oakley.com or head over to the more than well sorted Swedish store caliroots.com The ones with white frames, nice.

Neon Green Shoe Laces.

Mr Lacy.

We can just run and hide or we can stand up and fight the darkness.

The fashion circle might be going away from the 80's but there is still time. And what is more 80's than something in a nice neon color? Sure it might count to late 80's maybe even early 90's, but who really cares about the exact second when we have a chance to use them once more.

The only thing to think about is not to use to much. You have to have a specific style to make a neon colored jacket work. What will not be to much is a pair of shoe laces. They can either make your old sneakers look cool in a retro way or they can make all eyes turn to your new sneaks.

But that is not all. Some bright colors will help in the fight against the darkness. The darkness that the season is giving us. Also against the darkness that we chose with our clothes. Everybody is walking around in black and dark blue. It doesn't help. It's dark enough as it is. I must admit that I to am walking around in black clothes, but to my defence I am also sporting neon green shoe laces.

Now all that is needed is a way to incorporate some neon color somewhere else to make it match.

Adidas Originals Top Ten Hi part 2

Sweet White and Blue Baby!

It's here, Sneaker Monday! Time to take a look at what is going on in the Sneaker world. What's new or what is simple sweet.

After looking around a while I realized that there is not that much happening in the world of sneaks at the moment. So why not bring something up that's bin around for a bit but is really clean. The Adidas Top Ten Hi blue on white is a very nice sneak. I have seen them out in the stores this summer, and I always stop for a second and re-think my finances. Is there room in the budget for them? This summer that answer has bin no. But the more often I walk by a pair that answer is more likely to change.

The Top Ten Hi series brings that cleanliness that I expect from Adidas. And the colors on this pair is going to be so easy to match with. The white goes with your tee or shirt and the blue will always fit to your jeans.

I wish I had this pair this weekend when I was playing in the playground that is Berlin. They would have gone perfectly with my white shirt with thin blue lines and my bluer than blue jeans. But one can't have it all... Or can I? ;)

Nintendo Clock

Game Clock.

What time is it? Check the game and you will know. When getting your living quaters in order one detail that should not be overlooked is the time. In other words clocks.

And there is alot of cool ones out there. And that's what makes it so much fun. You can make a clock out of pretty much anything. Like here a NES game. But don't let your imagination end there. The favorite cd that broke can be a clock. The weird LP record that you can't even listen to can be a sweet clock. And then there's all the strange and wonderful clocks that people have already made. Check the design stores for new ones or go to the fleemarket and buy some old junk that you can turn into a one-of-a-kind.

And who doesn't like a original clock? And if you made it yourself then you're gona get a lot of credit for it. If you didn't know it already, here it is one more time. Everybody loves an artist.

So go out there and be somebody!

Adidas Originals Top Ten HI

Blue and White Baby!

Here we have a very clean sneak. Two colors, classic Adidas blue and white that's whiter than snow. This is the type of sneak I would like to see more of on the streets. And it's cleanliness will surely turn some heads. Those heads might be sneaker freak heads but that still counts. Off course not as much as other peoples heads, but still.

Match these bad boys with blue jeans and a white tee and your set for the last summer days. If you really want to make it clean then have blue details on the tee and wear a NY Yankee's cap. I think you know where I'm going with this. And the same goes for the lady's but you should have some short jeans shorts and over all just show some more skin. ;)

There's so many sneaks but so little time...

Calvin Harris.

Acceptable in the 80's

The fashion circle has made it's way to the 80's. And before we move on to the 90's this song needs to be recognized. Calvin Harris with Acceptable in the 80's is a song that easily get stuck in your head. Don't know how many times I have bin caught singing a few lines from this song in public. But it's like they say, always put on a show.

On sunday I'm going back to the old country for some vacation. One week in the beautiful swedish summer natur and then one week in Stockholm. The last few days I have bin organising the trip. So just a heads up. The first week you will probably not see any new post's. I know it's no fun, but we all need some R&R sometimes. But when I head up to Stockholm I'm sure I will be able to tell you whats going on in good old stock-town.

Spread the word people!

The Boom Box.

The Ghetto Blaster.

It's high time to bring out the Boom Box. The old school blaster that makes the old folks turn there heads. I'm not talking about a portable stereo but like in the picture, a box in silver with two decks and clean speakers.

Think about it. When was the last time you saw one? When ever that was it was to long ago. A blaster is not only very clean it also brings a nice sound to any outdoor activity.
Hook up your mp3 player and it's hard not to start moving.

Sure, you might think that it's gonna be heavy to carry or that you will have to pay for a lot of batteries. Small problems. On any Boom Box you should be able to attach a strap so that you can carry it like a sports bag over your shoulder. And if the strap has some nice colors it's just gonna make the box that much better. I would get one in rasta colors. Or a color combo that fits to your sneaks. That leaves the batteries. Easy, just buy rechargeable ones. And when you can, hook it up with the cable.

The beach, the park or just walking around in town is so much better with a Boom Box. So let's fill the world with music.

Remember to send a message on what you think or suggestions on posts. You can also follow me on twitter or YouTube. And if you like what you see then digg, buzz and mixx this site.

Adidas Originals Campus 80's White on White

White as snow.

New week and new shoes. Let's start this week with a Sneaker Monday. This time around it's Adidas that has dropped a very nice sneak. One could get blinded be the brightness of them. Here we have the example and I mean THE example of a clean sneak. White on white with the classic Adidas lines. I have to find out where I can get a pair here in Berlin. With that said this is a sneak that will work with anything (or nothing for that matter). With this one you can't go wrong.

I hope that you enjoyed Bobo's entry the other day. If I'm lucky I will be able to convince him to write some more stuff for us. But we will see what happens here in Berlin. Bobo can't really be trusted. I mean, I like the guy but he's sneaky. And not in Sneaker Monday type of way.

And just because it's a new week and the weekend is far away does not mean that one can not enjoy the summer. So, Carpe Diem all!

Tetris.

Game or a Lifestyle?

by Olle.

I’m looking at the wrist-watch before I start my Lexus LF-A. It doesn’t really matter what time it is though, I am thinking as I drive through central Manhattan on my way to work. I get to set up my schedule quite on my own anyway. I start the day with some finger-relaxing movements. Some stretching and some bending - it’s important to loosen up any possible numbness and rigidness in my fingers. I use professional finger-stretch utilities, and my personal coach is scrutinizing everything I do. After doing this for about half an hour, we’re going through some neck-stretching techniques and some other body exercises in order to get my body in a perfectly relaxed condition before we go through the tactical part and talk through the goods and the bads of yesterday. I need to be 100 % fit for my task, my mission – it’s another day at the office.

I work as a professional Tetris player and have been doing so for three years. Among my merits I have gold from Tetris World Cup from 2007 and 2008, Tetris Olympics 2009, silver in Tetris Grand Prix Slam 2007, and a also humiliating bronze from the Annual Uzbekhi Tetris Pride Festival Competition in 2005. I have also, of course, participated in the World All-Star Tetris Team every year since 2003 (a world team will come in handy in case we one day face an invasion from aliens ready to battle us in Tetris).

My career started off with a normal childhood Tetris-obsession, the one I think all normal kids born after 1980 have had for at least a couple of weeks. Only for me it never stopped. I never got bored and quit, I just kept playing. As we all know, the goal of Tetris is to place the randomly falling pieces (or “tetrominoes”) together so that one line of the playing field (the so called “matrix”) gets filled without any gaps. There are seven different tetriminoes, and they can all rotate with 90-degree steps (but the so called “O-piece” doesn’t change as it rotates, for logical reasons). They fall, you rotate them and try to fit them in to clear a line. When a line is cleared, it disappears and gives more room for the upcoming tetriminoes. And on it goes. Faster and faster. Its genial in its simplicity.

You gain points in Tetris. There are many different ways of scoring points, and all games have different systems. The most common way to get extra points are to clear several lines at a time. Clear four lines at a time is known as a “Tetris” and gives you way more than four times a single line clear. You build up a four lines high mountain of pieces, but leave one row free. Then you wait for God to drop the I-piece and you neatly place it in the gap – bang – you’ve got a Tetris, and earn “a tremendous amount of points”, as the guide on Tetrisfriends.com calls it. Or how about the T-spin – you leave a T-shaped gap somewhere on the matrix, in a way that you need to drop your T-piece down and then by rotate it in the right direction “lock it” in to position in the created T-slot. This is a very effective – but hard – way to get a lot of points. The possibilities are endless! Clear a line with a T-spin! Clear consecutive lines and finish up with a T-spin line clear!

There is a large Tetris community out there. Internet forums and discussion boards, constantly discussing what technique is the best and whether T-spins should generate points or if it’s more honest to be more old-school and save up to tetrises. The discussions are wild, hot-tempered and controversial, boiling with different opinions in a mist of lifelong Tetris experiences. I don’t think you can imagine how many Tetris geeks are out there – and they are waiting for your opinion! Get in shape, get the shapes right, and go beat them!

As for me, I’ve just finished a day at the office. Now I’ll roll down to see a new sport car. My Tetris sponsors just offered me a new one with the exhaust fumes coming out as tetriminoe clouds in the back.

Porta Pro listening to the 80's.

Classic sound.

When the world turns to the Ipod everyone has small often shitty white headphones to show that they too have jumped on the I-train. Sure the "I-phones" look okay, but there not nearly as retro as these guys. Brought to us in the Big Brother year of 1984 they do not only kick ass when it comes to style but also when it comes to sound.

I like this clean style of design. It's no wonder these headphones have lasted as long as they have. A classic is a classic.

And on another note, going jogging with the "I-phones" is always a problem, the guys and girls who designed the head phones they did so for some weird ears that must suck in the headphones. That problem is completely removed with the Porta Pro. Not to mention the excellent money to quality ratio.
